Thanksgiving dinner...600 miles

I just thought that I'd give a little Thanksgiving update. We went to Pocatello, Idaho, for a Thanksgiving Littleford reunion. It was a lot of fun visiting with all of Brandon's relatives, most of which we haven't seen for at least 9 years, other than a real quick over-night stay last October, 2007. That visit was when we decided that we should all try to get together Nov. 2008. And most of us did. We had about 75 people at the Thanksgiving dinner we held at the local church house. It was amazing. We needed 5 or 6 long tables for just the dinner food, and then 2 or 3 more long tables for just the pies. Needless to say....we had plenty to eat.

Look at all the people!

Our branch of the family was in charge of kids games. Marla, Brandon's mom, made a 15 foot long twister game (with the help of Kyle) and it was so fun to watch the kids and then the adults play twister. I put together a photo scavenger hunt. I took pictures of several adult family members and then split the pictures into 5 different routes. Then we broke the kids into 5 teams and I gave each team a picture with their assigned color on it. When they found the adult in their picture, that person gave them their next picture with their team color on it. Finally each team was led back to me where they received a treat for completing the search. It was fun and gave the kids a chance to see a lot of their adult relatives. Then Amanda and Erin(Brandon's sisters) did a candy walk. The kids all had a great time and so did the adults.

The kids played first.....

And then the adults...

This is Marla's butt in Brandon's face--

This is Brandon after realizing Marla's butt was in his face!

It was a great week, despite a little bit of a flu bug that kept trying to damper our fun. We still made it to Lava Hot Springs, visited my friend Nari and her family in Idaho Falls, and stayed up way too late, and ate way too much pie for breakfast every morning. We had a great time visiting our far away family and look forward to seeing them again soon.
Enjoy the pics!
